Pay Rate: $22.00/hr
Incentives and bonuses:
We will continue to pay a $1.00 per hour premium for Second Shift Hours, when worked (4P-12:30A).
Extra $50.00 per week attendance bonus, while employed as a contingent worker.
Shift: 2nd shift (4:00 PM-12:30 AM)
All positions will train for a minimum of 2 weeks on 1st shift before going to 2nd shift.
Due to Covid, we ve implemented a Pod system to help protect our employees. This means that first shift pods may have different starting and ending times, as follows.
Training schedule for the first 2 weeks: (after the first 2 weeks: 4:00 PM-12:30 AM)
6:00 AM 2:30 PM
6:30 AM 3:00 PM
6:30 AM 3:00 PM
PRELIMINARY REQUIREMENTS:
Candidates should only be submitted to the request after they have completed and passed the basic pre-hire requirement testing.
The basic testing requirements include: basic math, reading comprehension (in the English language), the tape measure assessment, and the skills assessment.

PRIMARY FUNCTION:
To operate distribution center/warehouse tools and equipment to process material to specified dimensions. May work with another operator to become proficient on the equipment and/or process.
TOOLS AND EQUIPMENT:
Circular saws, grinders, milling machines, lathes, cut off saws and other similar processing equipment. Sideloader, plate flippers, gas powered lift trucks, fork lifts, carts, floor operated overhead crane, skids, scale, tape measure, micrometers, various hand tools, chains, hooks, slings, wood and other packaging materials, stencils, bar press, power nailer, power stapler, power bander, manual bander, plate and bar magnets, calipers, etc.
MATERIALS:
Steel and alloy bars, plates, hardened and annealed products, finished products, grinding segments, cutting inserts, miscellaneous materials and supplies.
WORKING PROCEDURE:
Receives verbal or written instructions from supervisor and/or other designated plant personnel.
Exercises basic skills in the operation of distribution center/warehouse tools and equipment involving a number of basic related tasks which follow the same sequence. Such tasks may be performed within a department or across multiple departments.
Checks dimensions of material before, during and after processing to maintain specified tolerances.
Counts and weighs pieces, weighs scrap and keeps segregated by grades. Stencils, stamps, and/or tags material and packages, as required. Color codes various products, as required. Places pieces on pallets or in container. Transports material between workstations using side loaders, lift trucks and floor operated overhead cranes. Keeps production records and operates transmission equipment to enter, receive and send data.
Lubricates, cleans, adjusts and makes minor repairs to production equipment and related tools and equipment. Keeps hand tools clean and orderly. Maintains a clean and orderly work area. Notifies supervisor of any condition requiring maintenance repair. Or assists with equipment and facility maintenance.
Has a basic knowledge of written rules and procedures.
Performs other duties as directed including general labor duties.
