FTS is seeking an Administrative Assistant for a large accounting firm in the Baton Rouge area. You will perform clerical and administrative functions for a group of accountants performing project based work.

Qualified candidates MUST have had solid experience working in an accounting firm.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordination of meetings for directors; takes responsibility for action items

  • Reviewing unassigned team members; help in communicating availability

  • Adding new users to JIRA and assigning rights to users (PM software)

  • Distribution of Monthly reports

  • Setup for meetings and events for up to 60 attendees

  • Coordination of director travel

  • Handles CPE planning and registrations for department members

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in an accounting firm is a MUST!

  • MUST have a proactive mindset in order to keep accountants abreast of current and future events, tasks and appointments.

  • MUST be able to help schedule accountants in order to avoid gaps in billable hours.

  • Ability to prioritize and multitask

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Strong organizational skills

  • Able to use Microsoft office (Excel, Word, PPT, Outlook) at a high level
